In order to complete the tasks, our explorers will be divided into groups.
1. After being divided into groups, the students
will visit the following web site and take the virtual space tour.

2. After having watched the virtual space tour,
the group will pick a planet to research: Mars, Earth, Venus, Mercury, Pluto, Sun, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.
3. Having selected a planet to Research, visit
one or all of the following websites.

4. Answer the following questions about the
planet that is being researched.
a. What is the name of the planet?
b. How long does it take to orbit?
c. How long does it take to rotate on
its axis?
d. Does it have a satellite (moon)?
1. If any, what is/are the name of the moon(s)?
2. Note down any interesting facts about the
moons.
e. How far is the planet away from the
Sun? (This question does not apply
for the group working on the Sun).
f. What are the chemical components
of the planet?
g. What are the components of the atmosphere?
h. When was it first discovered and by
whom?
i. Determine the weight, mass
and size of the planet.
j. Does the planet support any life
force?
k. Include any other additional information
that the group thinks is pertinent or relevant.
5. After answering all the questions, organize
the material.
6. Prepare an introduction.
7. Put the information into a Power Point Presentation.
(As a group, everyone should have equal participation).
8. Prepare a statement convincing our visitors
to visit the planet that the group is about to present.
9. Prepare a conclusion for the presentation.
10. Present your Research to our visitors.
