Introduction

This lesson was developed as a partial requirement for the “Special Themes in Educational Technology Class” for the English Bachelor Degree with Multimedia Technology in the University of Puerto Rico, Aguadilla Campus.

The students are going to be pared into groups and each group will choose a planet. They will research the planet, then presented to the class.

Learners

This lesson is directed for 9^th grade students. It is designed to explore our galaxy, the Milky Way.

Students will:

v     Learn about teamwork.

v     Learn to do a Power Point Presentation.

v     Gain a deeper knowledge of our solar system.

Resources Needed

v   Computer

v   Power Point Presentation (the software should already be included in the computer).

v   Human Resources: The lesson could be taught by one teacher but it would be preferably if there was an additional teacher.

Evaluation

The same as the students page.

Conclusion

This lesson is designed to help students understand better our neighboring planets, no just our own. It also teaches the student about cooperative learning and role-playing.
